Another Wildflower Meadow One-Stamp-Wonder

Wildflower Meadow One-Stamp-Wonder Card

Wildflower Meadow Background Stamp
(w 129165, c 129168)

Stampin’ Up!’s new Wildflower Meadow Background Stamp (w 129165, c 129168) makes a beautiful card all by itself, doesn’t it?

Here, I used Stampin’ Up!’s Stampin’ Write Markers to “color” my stamp, using the brush tip end of the two-sided markers. I used Garden Green, Melon Mambo and a bit of Daffodil Delight. Because the ink is a water-based dye ink, just like that in the Classic Stamp Pads, it dries quickly. By the time I finished coloring everything, the ink was dry. So, I huffed, and I huffed, and I huffed, and I puffed, and I added moisture to the ink with my breath, just enough to moisten it.

Because the stamp is so large, instead of flipping the stamp over onto the Whisper White Card Stock and stamping, I laid it on top of the card, and pressed with one of our Clear Mount Blocks. What do you think of the weathered look I got?

I used the coordinating Wildflower Meadow Textured Impressions Embossing Folder again here. Did you know that the Wildflower Meadow Background Stamp and the coordinating Wildflower Meadow Embossing Folder are available as a bundle? Save 15% when you get the bundle!

Wood-Mount Bundle     132735     $21.95

Clear-Mount Bundle     132985     $18.50

I added a little sentiment at the bottom of the page with the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set. I could have used one of our Bitty Banners Framelits to cut out this little banner but this time I just hand-cut it with my scissors, and added a Melon Mambo background…I just cut it a little larger than the other banner. Then, I popped up both layers of the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

As if the color combination isn’t WOW! enough, I added a variety of adhesive Pearl Basic Jewels to the centers of the flowers! Pop! Pop! Pop!

One-Stamp-Wonder Card

One-Stamp-Wonder Sympathy Card

Here’s a one-stamp-wonder card that is simple, quick, and easy to make! Not only does this card use one stamp but it uses only a half sheet of 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of cardstock! Even better, I only used one color of ink! Bottomline, you don’t need a lot of supplies to make beautiful cards; you just need the right supplies!

I guess I cheated a bit by creating a sympathy card with the addition of the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set ( Love that set!!). But, really and truly, this card doesn’t even need the sentiment on the front, does it?

Here’s your prescription for today’s card:

Stamps: Wildflower Meadow, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Island Indigo

Card Stock: Soft Sky, Island Indigo

Accessories: Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, SNAIL Adhesive, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Stampin’ Trimmer, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Wildflower Meadow Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

Join me at Start Stamping on Sunday, June 9 to create your own one-stamp-wonder card using the Wildflower Meadow Stamp and the Wildflower Meadow Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. While you’re here, get your brand new 2013-2014 Stampin’ Up! Catalog.
